ABOUT US
Agnew Boers was established in 1999 by James Agnew as a project to
keep him busy as a retiree from the oil and gas business of 40
years. We are located in the beautiful heart of cutting horse county
in Weatherford, Texas, 30 miles from Cowtown, Ft. Worth, Texas.
Brenda Larner, joined Agnew Boers in 2001 to help with selecting top
quality breeding and show quality animals. As a team we have been
successful in selecting, breeding and showing to produce several
champions from our breeding stock.
Through a Commitment to excellence Agnew Boers has assembled a
highly competitive Boer goat breeding and show quality herd both in
Fullbloods and Percentages. We run a relatively small herd of
Fullbloods and percentage Boer goats, so our focus has to be on
superior quality. In order to continue to produce in the top
echelon, from a quality aspect, we are continually adjusting our
breeding program. As a team we carefully examine each animal's
strengths and weaknesses as well as study the genetics in order to
increase our chances of producing a substantially better animal each
year.
Our foundation herd and breeding program have been developed through
a disciplined process considering both phenotype and genotype of our
goats. Through this strict selection process we feel that Agnew
Boers has assembled one of the most competitive breeding and showing
herds in the United States. Agnew Boers is dedicated to doing the
things necessary to improve our herd in the never ending quest for
excellence. We think our record speaks for itself:
